RG3 won the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The Redskins rookie quarterback won in a vote that was not particularly close. The AP conducted the vote and announced that Griffin got 29 votes to 11 for Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and 10 for Seahawks QB Russell Wilson.
Congrats to him as it was well deserved. Of more importance, RG3 walked the red carpet and accepted the award without a limp. He is only a month removed from surgery and he mentioned that he is ahead of schedule and plans to be ready by opening day. Whether that happens or not, it was good to see him up and about and moving without any limp. He certainly looked good and that was encouraging. I want for him and the Skins to play it safe and not rush him but it certainly looked like the guy would be ready to play at least a good portion of the upcoming season.
